I’m going to tell you like this, SOMETHING DOES NOT SMELL RIGHT!!! I’m going to tell you once again, what’s playing out right now in the Harris County Democratic Party stinks really bad. Please listen to me!!! What we’re seeing go down right now in the Harris County Democratic Party has been in the works for some time now. But don’t take my word for it! But rather, just ask yourself: “Why did Melanie Miles (the name she’s going by right now) leave the Harris County Republican Party? Then ask yourself: “Why did Odus Evbagharu, pictured above on your left, the chief of staff for state Rep. Jon Rosenthal (House District 135), and Camille Foster, pictured above on your right, the chief of staff for state Senator Borris L. Miles (Melanie’s Ex-Husband), go out and incorporate a Political Action Committee together earlier this year, and then under a month later Odus Evbagharu starts campaigning to become the next Harris County Democratic Party Chair?” Does that make any sense at all to you? And then ask yourself: “Why did Camille and Odus name their Political Action Committee, “BUILD BLACK BETTER PAC” when they incorporated it back on Friday, January 8, 2021, and made Odus Evbagharu the Director of their little newly incorporated Political Action Committee? Why? Why does Camille Foster and Odus Evbagharu need with a Political Action Committee? Do you think that Camille and Odus conceptualized the formation of their little “BUILD BLACK BETTER PAC” all by their lonesome? Who is going to finance their little Political Action Committee? And if the Harris County Democratic Party is all about inclusion and togetherness, doesn’t the “BUILD BLACK BETTER PAC” sound a little too divisive for the turbulent political climate we’re living in right now? But wait, you don’t even have to answer that question – I’ll answer it for you! Hell, yes, naming a Political Action Committee the “BUILD BLACK BETTER PAC” is divisive as hell, and it should be denounced and rejected, by the “GOOD DEMOCRATS” who want to see their party flourish and grow into 2022 Midterm Election, and 2024 Presidential Election as a party of togetherness and inclusion. Now, every Harris County Democratic Precinct Chair who will be voting for Odus Evbagharu on Sunday, June 27, 2021, must understand that, a fish rots from the head down. And so does a political organization that elects bad leadership. Now, that being said, I don’t believe that Odus Evbagharu, is a bad person per se; but the folks who are pushing his candidacy is up to some “$OME $LICK $HIT” if you get my drift. Now, if the upcoming “ZOOM MEETING” that’s scheduled to take place on Sunday, June 27, 2021, to elect Lillie Schechter’s successor turns out to be a rotten affair, laden with backroom deals, and payoffs, whoever emerges as the victor of the “ZOOM ELECTION” is going to have a tough time mending fences and putting the Harris County Democratic Party back together again.”

And the article went on to say, “This historic initiative will be led by small business-owner, Melanie Miles. I’ve been closely watching Melanie Wilcox Miles for the last year, or so, searching for an indication of what her future plans are as it relates to the Democratic Party. I’ve noticed that she’s become very vocal on political matters and that’s usually a sign of things to come. So, I can tell you right now, if Melanie Wilcox Miles decides to run for one of the local Family Court benches, she’s going to win! But if I were her, I wouldn’t fool around trying to challenge Judge Sandra Peake, for her 257th Family Court Bench. If I was advising her campaign, I would tell her to run against – SYKE – I’M NOT GIVING OUT ANY FREE ADVICE!!! Anyways, back on April 15, 2020, she was very vocal on the issue of gun violence, “We have had too much death in our state due to gun violence,” said Miles on her Facebook page. Then she went on to say, “Today Republican State Legislators voted for open carry of guns in the state. This bill will place our schools, restaurants, small businesses and the innocent in danger,” to blast the state leaders of the party she abandoned last year. “WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG WITH A LICENSE! What is wrong with responsible gun ownership?” she asked. “Our legislators have abandoned protecting the people of this state!,” she proclaimed.

The Texas Coalition of Black Democrats (TCBD), in preparation for the 2022 and 2024 election cycles, has organized a statewide Texas Alliance of Black Political Action Committees (PACs) to engage in coordinated local, statewide and national fundraising to increase overall funding to maximize Black Democratic voter turnout through increased and enhanced voter registration, issue education, year-round voter engagement, community service and political infrastructure building and maintenance.
This historic initiative will be led by small business-owner, Melanie Miles. Miles has agreed to lead the fundraising project as part of The Coalition’s broader effort to help increase the involvement of Democratic Precinct Chairs and local and county elected officials within The Coalition and Texas Democratic Party.
In agreeing to serve as Chair of the Texas Alliance of Black PACs, Miles said, “I will be laser focused on helping to raise the funding necessary to bring change to Texas. Our state needs better, more compassionate and competent leadership and the path to achieving that goal is a stronger, more unified, energized and well-funded Black Democratic political infrastructure.
Black Democrats need the financial wherewithal to partner with our county parties across the state to maximize black voter turnout in our rural, suburban and urban counties.”
In addition to fundraising for the Texas Alliance of Black PACs, Melanie Miles has also agreed to work with The Coalition’s State Chair, Carroll G. Robinson, to assist him in an effort to help secure funding to ensure that all 254 Democratic County Parties across Texas have a full-time paid staff member to maximize the efficiency of precinct chairs in the effort to increase overall Democratic voter turnout.
Under the leadership of Miles, The Alliance will be reaching out to partner and work with all the various constituency organizations and allied groups, in the Texas Democratic Party, to maximize strategic deployment of assets, resources and investments in the Coalition’s effort to (Re)Turn Texas Blue.

“Let me first say that I am so proud of Odus Evbagharu for going after his dream. To be honest, I believe that he is well-qualified to serve as the person to succeed Lillie Schechter as the new Harris County Democratic Party Chair. However, while Odus is indeed uniquely qualified, I am just not sure if he’s strong and independent enough to handle the job. And to this end, forming a Political Action Committee along with Camille Foster, the chief of staff for state Sen. Borris L. Miles, has me kind of looking at him kind of sideways right about now. But, like I said, I think that Odus is a good person in his heart. I also believe that Odus is uniquely qualified to serve as the next Harris County Democratic Party Chair, but it’s his association with Camille Foster, and the formation of the “BUILD BLACK BETTER PAC” that has me a little suspicious about everything that’s about to play out of the course of the next few weeks.”

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.
