Now, after listening to the secret audio recording that has now been turned over to the FBI, I believe that everyone reading this report should be able to kind of understand why District Attorney Ogg tried to get Damien Thaddeus Jones on a Felony indictment in the 263rd Criminal District Court – back when she (like clockwork) announced her indictments against Damien Thaddeus Jones, Richard Bonton, and Natasha Demming ‘Ruiz’ back on Friday, December 11, 2020 – a little over a month after the conclusion of the 2020 Presidential Election. Now, I’m not trying to add fuel to the fire or anything like that, but every “GOOD DEMOCRAT” should be outraged to learn that Democratic District Attorney Ogg only took her aggressive stance after taking pressure from State Rep. Harold Dutton, Jr., and his Democratic allies who made up the Harris County Democratic Legislative Delegation when they sent D.A. Ogg their letter back on Wednesday, March 18, 2020. But get this – the pressure on D.A. Ogg didn’t stop with the Democratic Legislative Delegation! How do I know? Well, I know, because on Wednesday, April 8, 2020, I received a press release by email from Carroll G. Robinson, announcing that the Texas Coalition of Black Democrats and the Houston Branch of the N.A.A.C.P had joined the Harris County Democratic Legislative Delegation in their effort to pressure Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg to press forward with an investigation into what we thought at that time was a “PHANTOM CANDIDATE” who had appeared on the Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Democratic Party Primary ballot in the race for State Representative for House District 142. However, thanks to local attorney “DOWNTOWN” Oliver Brown and his undercover work, we now know that the pressure that was being applied to Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg – if we believe Tamoria Jones, who served as the chief of staff for State Rep. The Texas Coalition of Black Democrats today joined eighteen elected state Democratic officials from Harris County and the Houston Branch of the N.A.A.C.P. in requesting that Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg and County Attorney Vince Ryan investigate the presence of a phantom candidate in the March 3rd Democratic Primary for House District 142, including empaneling a grand jury to do so, if needed.
"Our community has come too far at too great a cost to allow the voters in House District 142 to be defrauded by what may have been an organized effort to put a name on the ballot for a person who does not exist," said Carroll G. Robinson, current State Chairman of the Coalition and a former at-large member of the Houston City Council. "More than 2500 voters were duped into voting for a non-existent mystery 'candidate' by the actions of one or more people who got a name put on the ballot by violating numerous laws."
Letters urging Ms. Ogg and Mr. Ryan were signed by eighteen Harris County Democrats elected to the Texas Legislature, by N.A.A.C.P. Houston Branch President James Douglas, by Robinson on behalf of the Coalition and by the following Houston area ministers: Houston Metropolitan Ministers, Pastor James Nash, St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, Pastor Robert Tigner, Golden Gate Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor George Hill, Pilgrim Rest Missionary Baptist Church.
"Based on our preliminary report of the facts, to which the authorities have access, it is clear that election fraud occurred. We need the District Attorney to promptly investigate this case and prosecute those who did this to the full extent of the law," Robinson continued. "With all the talk about Russia meddling in our elections, it would be an outrage and a travesty to let some homegrown dirty tricksters get away with these crimes."
Houston's ABC Channel 13 reported following the primary that no one ever saw a candidate named Natasha Ruiz attend campaign events, none of the required ethics reports were filed for anyone with that name and the person never sent any campaign mailers. A woman reached by reporter Miya Shay at the phone number listed on an election-related form said she had not filed to run for the office and did not know who or why anyone would have done so. That woman is not named Ruiz and told Ms. Shay she's a truck driver living in Colorado. The purported campaign treasurer cannot be located, the phone number for him is not a working number and the email address given for the candidate does not work.
A runoff for House District 142 has been set for July 15th. Robinson said that he and the Harris County leaders want the District Attorney and County Attorney to get to the bottom of these matters before the runoff, if possible.
"We know there's a lot going on with the pandemic and the impact of falling prices on our oil and gas industry. Given these uncertainties, Harris County voters must be assured that fair elections, free of corruption, are a top priority. The legislative session is coming soon and our community must be assured that the candidates of their choice represent them in Austin," Robinson said.
According to Tamoria Jones, the Chief of Staff for State Rep. Harold Dutton, Jr., “When Harold see’s blood, he doesn’t give a ‘f_ck’ what side you’re on. He’s like I am going after everybody,” she said. “If you were against me,” she said, speaking of her boss. “Or if ‘I felt like you were against me – I’m going after you,” she told “DOWNTOWN” Oliver Brown in a secretly recorded audio tape while the two were sharing drinks together. Dear Ms. Ogg and Mr. Ryan:
We write to request your offices to investigate a serious
case of election fraud that appears to have been perpetrated during the March
3rd Democratic Primary election for Texas House District 142.
We are concerned that more than 2500 Harris County voters
may have been duped into voting for a non-existent candidate, a serious theft
of those voters' most important right, and three legitimate candidates were
harmed by the crimes committed.
We have attached a memorandum based on our preliminary
inquiry into events that resulted in a sham "candidate" being on the
ballot. These facts make it clear that serious election fraud has occurred,
potentially by the coordinated efforts of more than one person. Not only were
more than 2500 voters defrauded, three legitimate candidates put themselves
before the voters, campaigned hard and followed the rules. It is unfair to
them, their supporters and the general public to allow this fraud to go
unanswered.
This fraud could have been perpetrated against the voters of
any political party, and against any legitimate candidate, anywhere in Texas.
For that reason, these crimes must be thoroughly
investigated and the perpetrator prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,
so that anyone who considers doing so in the future will understand their risk
of prosecution.

We request that your offices coordinate an immediate
investigation into the events documented in the attached memo and take appropriate

THREE INDICTED FOR ROLES IN FRAUDULENT ELECTION SCHEMES

Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg announced that a Grand Jury indicted three people Friday in two different failed schemes intended to affect the outcomes in two Texas House of Representatives’ local districts during the 2020 election cycle. The impacted districts were HD 132 and HD 142.
“Our democracy depends on keeping our elected officials safe from coercion and our elections free from illegal manipulation,” Ogg said. “Those indicted today crossed the line from dirty politics to criminal activity and they will pay the price.”
Democratic political consultant Damien Jones was indicted for Coercion of a Public Servant and False Caller Identification Information Display for an anonymous threat texted to then State Representative Gina Calanni in an attempt to coerce her into resigning her position in HD 132, instead of running for re-election. The threat was made on Dec. 2, 2019 just days before the 2020 election filing deadline. Instead of resigning, Calanni reported the threat to the Texas Rangers, who in conjunction with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office Public Corruption Division, investigated the complaint. If convicted of the two Class A misdemeanors, Jones faces up to a year in the Harris County Jail and up to a $4000 fine or both.
Just days later, a second scheme intended to impact the election in HD 142 unfolded when a person using a false name, Natasha Ruiz, filed for election against longtime State Representative Harold Dutton. She did not, however, act alone. Natasha Demming, along with Richard Anthony Bonton, also a candidate for HD 142, were indicted today for Election Fraud related crimes.
Bonton, who had previously run for HD 142, conspired with Demming to file her ballot application in HD 142 under a false name, Natasha Ruiz. Bonton’s motive appears to have been to manipulate voters into supporting a Latino candidate to dilute incumbent Harold Dutton’s voter base in a district with a growing Latino population. Dutton is African American, as is Demming and Bonton. While the scheme did not elevate Bonton’s candidacy as intended, it did impact the election, resulting in a runoff between Dutton and another candidate, Jerry Davis.
For his role, Bonton is charged with Tampering with a Governmental Record, a state jail felony punishable by up to two years, and two Class A misdemeanors, each punishable by up to a year in jail.
For her role, Demming is charged with two counts of Tampering with a Governmental Record, both state jail felonies and three Class A misdemeanors: Perjury, Election Fraud and Conspiracy to Commit Tampering with a Governmental Record, all of which are punishable by up to a year in jail.
Per District Attorney Kim Ogg, “Those who run for the responsibility of making our laws are expected to follow the law.”
The Public Corruption Division does not confirm or deny the existence of any investigation until and if a criminal charge is filed. This is done out of fairness of all parties potentially involved in any matter.

Let me be clear here – Judge Genesis Draper was placed on the bench as judge of Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 12 by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia. However, she wasn’t Commissioner Ellis’ first choice to fill the voice left in the aftermath of Judge Cassandra Hollemon’s untimely death. Believe it or not, from the way I understand it, initially Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his cohorts were going to fill the vacancy with a Hispanic judge. Why didn’t they do it? Well, from the way that I understand it, the plan to fill the vacancy left by the untimely death of Judge Cassandra Hollemon (a Black woman) with a Hispanic female didn’t go over well with the sitting African American female judges who ran their races along with the late Judge Cassandra Hollemon as part of the “BLACK GIRL MAGIC” campaign. So, in essence, Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis, Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and Harris County Commissioner Adrian Garcia settled on Judge Genesis Draper. Thus far, I think Judge Genesis Draper has done a respectable job serving as a judge. However, the stakes are very high for the misdemeanor cases involving “WHISTLEBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones that has somehow found their way into the one misdemeanor courtroom where the judge was appointed by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his cohorts. I say somehow because there are (16) sixteen misdemeanor county courts in Harris County, Texas – but somehow after not being able to get “WHISTLEBLOWER” Damien Thaddeus Jones on felony charges in Judge Amy Martin’s 263rd Criminal District Court – the cases found their way in Judge Genesis Draper’s court. Can you believe this? Doesn’t this sound a little too coincidental? Do you think that Damien is going to get a fair trial in Harris County Criminal Court at Law No. 12? I mean really?

In case you don’t know the commissioner’s court, according to published reports is also responsible for adopting its budget, setting tax rates, calling for bond elections, building and maintaining roads and bridges, setting boundaries for voting precincts, and overseeing public libraries and parks – and like I said, overseeing county courthouses too.

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.
