Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo appears to have escaped indictment for now as it relates to her involvement in that nearly $11 million COVID-19 Outreach Contract. However, she mustn't for one moment believe that she's going to escape the same fate that many of her fellow incumbent Democrats have already faced during this pivotal "ANTI-INCUMBENT" 2022 Midterm Election cycle. Alexandra del Moral Mealer is headlining a star-studded Republican Party field of duly-qualified nominees unlike any that we've ever seen before in Harris County, Texas.
1% Point Separates Alexandra del Moral Mealer and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo According to a Recent Poll
I don't necessarily place a lot of weight on polls, but I must admit that it was a little surprising to see that 48% of likely voters favored Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and 47% of likely voters favor Alexandra del Moral Mealer.
It was shocking that Alexandra del Moral Mealer leads Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo among Latino voters. According to the poll, Alexandra del Moral Mealer has 47% and Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has 44 % as it related to Latino voters. And if you ask me that's a big problem for Hidalgo.
I've been asking around town and I can't find any Blacks who took part in the UH Hobby School of Public Affairs poll. But we'll have to take their word for it. But man, I find it hard to believe that Lina Hidalgo holds an 82% to 16% lead over Alexandra del Moral Mealer with Black voters. That's crazy!!!
