JANET TOWNSLEY SHARES HER THOUGHTS: Why I am the best candidate for Harris County District Judge for the 152nd District
by Janet Townsley
For Your Thought Matters Readers
I am the best candidate for Judge of the 152nd Civil District Court because experience matters. My law practice of the last 25 years in Harris County includes taking cases both for defendants and plaintiffs all the way through jury verdicts. In my practice, I have also handled numerous matters on appeal.
A good Judge is fair. I believe in giving every party an opportunity to be fully heard. Even if a party may disagree with any particular ruling, it is important for them to feel as if they were given their fair day in Court. A good Judge knows the law and applies it equally to everyone. A good Judge works hard and ensures that every litigant receives a prompt resolution of their case, either by pre-trial disposition or a trial, should it become necessary.
I will be that Judge. I have the experience to do the job right. I am honored to have the vote of confidence from so many of our Republican leaders and organizations, including Hon. Paul Bettencourt, Hon. Levi Benton, former Judge 215th Civil Court, Don Elder, Jr., Mayor of Katy, Texas, Hon. Paul Pressler, Hon. Bill Yeoman, United Republicans, Katy Christian Magazine, The Link Letter, Texas Right to Life PAC and many, many others.
