Mike Doyle, Chairman of the HCDP, Was Utterly Humiliated Last Night; Mike Knox and Kyle Scott Are On the Move

Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, failed miserably in his attempt to help Melissa Noriega defeat Kyle Scott (far right) in the countywide race for the HCAD Board of Directors, Place 2. He also could have done better in his quest to help Pelumi Adeleka defeat Ericka McCrutcheon. TROUBLE LIES AHEAD... Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, could not help a well-known Hispanic female (Melissa Noriega) defeat her "GOP-ENDORSED" opponent (Kyle Scott) last night. He will find it challenging to help Sheriff Ed Gonzalez defeat former Councilman Mike Knox on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas, with all of the Black inmates dying under his watch.

Pastor Terrance Hall (left) is the Kingdom Builders Cathedral Church pastor and has dramatically supported former At-Large Position #1 Councilman Mike Knox since before Knox was elected to council. With the support of  "BLACK MEN" like Pastor Hall and countless others, Mike Knox is in a unique position as he prepares to unseat embattled Democrat Sheriff Ed Gonzalez on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in Harris County, Texas. Early voting will begin on Monday, October 21, 2024, and end on Friday, November 1, 2024, in Harris County.

Dan Simons is the best option for the Harris County District Attorney race on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. Dan Simons is committed to making Harris County, Texas, a safer place for every citizen to live, work, and play. He's running against Sean Teare, a candidate who appears to be committed to protecting his buddies and giving violent criminals get-out-of-jail-free cards. Early voting will begin on Monday, October 21, 2024, and end on Friday, November 1, 2024, in Harris County.

Bruce and Joanie Lucci Bain are solid people committed to fairness and even-handed justice. Bruce is not one of those people who would use his courtroom as a playground where political axes are sharpened.  If elected to the 165th Civil District Court on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Bain would be taking over this judicial bench from Judge Ursula A. Hall, who was recently publicly sanctioned by the State Commission on Judicial Conduct for the second time. Early voting will begin on Monday, October 21, 2024, and end on Friday, November 1, 2024, in Harris County.

My name is Aubrey R. Taylor, and what the mainstream media and the major political party bosses don't want you to know about me is that I've influenced the outcome of more political races in Harris County, Texas, than any other living person, Black, White, Hispanic, Asian, or from any other ethnic group. That said, I'm encouraging you to do your homework before you go to the polls to vote for candidates because of their perceived political party affiliation. The citizens of Harris County are being played for fools by "RINOs and DINOs" who are masquerading as Republicans and Democrats. However, I will start pulling back their masks as Tuesday, November 5, 2024, draws nearer.

Mike Doyle, Chairman of the HCDP, Was Utterly Humiliated Last Night; Mike Knox and Kyle Scott Are On the Move

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

If you think the crushing defeats Mike Doyle and his “ENDORSED CANDIDATES” received last night was something, things could get much worse on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, if Doyle doesn’t come up with a real mobilization strategy to deal with what "THE GOP" is about to throw at him in the race for Harris County District Attorney featuring Dan Simons, a no-nonsense Republican, focused on making Harris County safer, facing off against Sean Teare a Democrat who appears to be poised to protect his buddies and coddle violent criminals – if he’s allowed to become the new District Attorney.

“WAKE-UP CALL.”

The Harris County Democratic Party got a severe wake-up call last night. And you can’t say that I didn’t warn everybody of the impending defeats ahead of time. Whoever advised Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party to become embroiled in an “ENDORSEMENT CONTEST” in the (HCAD) Harris Central Appraisal District Board races should be fired, and I’m dead serious.

What happened last night should have never happened. Sure, back on Saturday, May 4, 2024, in “ROUND ONE,” Kathy Blueford Daniels (Democrat) was able to gain nearly twice as many “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOTS” than her Republican rival Bill R. Frazer and hold on to win the race for (HCAD) Board of Directors outright, without a runoff.

Remember, back on Saturday, May 4, 2024, Kathy Blueford Daniels (Democrat) received 8,983 absentee mail ballots, and Bill R. Frazier (Republican) received 4,488 absentee mail ballots in a race where Bill Frazier ultimately closed the gap within the in-person vote category and nearly forced a runoff.

The two Democrats (Melissa Noriega and Pelumi Adeleke), endorsed by Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party last night, weren’t as lucky as their running mate, Kathy Blueford Daniels.

Nope. There wasn’t anything pretty about last night. The two Democrats got trounced by the two Harris County Republican Party-endorsed candidates in nearly every phase of the game last night.

In the HCAD, Director, At-Large, Place 2 race, Melissa Noriega, the HCDP-endorsed candidate, looked good, as she got off to a good start with 6,424 absentee mail ballots. However, Kyle Scott, the HCRP-endorsed candidate, was on her heels with 5,950.

After trailing in the absentee mail ballot category, Kyle Scott received 11,752 in-person votes, where voters had to physically go into an early voting location to cast their ballot. However, Melissa Noriega only received 6,292 votes between Monday, June 3, 2024, and Tuesday, June 11, 2024.

And on “ELECTION DAY,” according to the Harris County Clerk’s Office, 9,178 voters flocked to the polls for Kyle Scott, giving him a commanding victory over his HCDP-endorsed rival, with 26,880 votes, for an astonishing 57.21% of the vote.

In her losing bid, Melissa Noriega only received 20,106 votes for 42.79%.

Pelumi Adeleke, the HCDP-endorsed candidate, had no chance against Ericka McCrutcheon, the HCRP-endorsed candidate, who was hungry for a victory after losing two races for Houston City Council, primarily because of “NAME ID” issues, in a world where “IDENTITY POLITICS,” rule.

Pastor Ericka McCrutcheon, a local businesswoman, has never shied away from her fiscal conservative values. She and her husband, John McCrutcheon, are two proud African American conservatives active in the Harris County Republican Party but well-liked and respected by Democrats.

McCrutcheon narrowly missed making a runoff in the race for Houston City Council At-Large Position 3 on November 23, 2023, edged out by Twila Carter (a white female), Richard Cantu, and Donnell Cooper.

In her first bid for public office on November 5, 2019, Ericka McCrutcheon also found herself on the outside looking in, finishing third in the race for Houston City Council At-Large Position 4.

Ultimately, Letitia Plummer defeated Anthony Dolcefino, the son of veteran investigative journalist Wayne Dolcefino, in a close runoff race to win the At-Large Position 4 seat.

“COMMANDING VICTORY.”

On Saturday, June 15, 2024, against Pelumi Adeleke, the HCDP-endorsed candidate, Ericka McCrutcheon, proved herself a force to be reckoned with. She dominated Adeleke in every phase of the game to emerge as the top vote-getter on the ballot.

Ericka McCrutcheon received 7,526 absentee mail ballots, and Pelumi Adeleke received 4,733. And between Monday, June 3, 2024, and Tuesday, June 11, 2024, McCrutcheon received 11,946 in-person votes, while Adeleke only received 6,042.

On election day, 9,314 voters went to the polls to vote for Ericka McCrutcheon, giving her 28,786 votes, for 61.55%, as she dominated Pelumi Adeleke, who only received 17,979.

“A BETTER PLAN.”

Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party made a serious “TACTICAL BLUNDER” by injecting partisan politics into these nonpartisan HCAD races. With the Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election on the horizon, “DEMOCRATIC NOMINEES,” running countywide, could be sitting at a severe disadvantage against their Republican counterparts.

Blunders like the one Mike Doyle just made can prove costly if the Harris County Democratic Party, as a body, doesn’t immediately go back to the drawing board and develop a “BETTER PLAN” to mobilize their base as the most consequential “PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION” of our lifetimes draws nearer.

For the most part, the Harris County Democratic Party Chairman Mike Doyle seems to believe that scare tactics will rally Democrats to the polls on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, but he is sadly mistaken.

Did he get the memo? Blacks are not enthused or excited by the prospects of voting to reelect President Joe Biden on Tuesday, November 5, 2024. That said, local Democrats must find a way to arm their nominees with the finances they need to run competitive countywide races.

It could be disastrous for Democrats if they continue to ignore the power of local radio personalities like Hall of Fame sportscaster Ralph Cooper and the influence they have with African American voters.

Pictured are Don Samuel (standing left), Ralph Cooper (standing second from left), Paris Eley (standing second from right), Jerri P. Beasley (standing right), and Michael Harris seated.

KCOH 1230 AM has a listening audience that must become engaged and mobilized. Radio personalities like Ralph Cooper, Don Samuel, Michael Harris, Jerri P. Beasley, and Paris Eley are just as influential as radio personalities at MAJIC 102 FM and conservative talk stations like KTRH 740 AM News Radio in many regards.

To win in November, Democratic nominees must take matters into their own hands and become creative with their marketing and outreach efforts to African Americans.

Suppose Mike Doyle and the local Harris County Democratic Party continue to ignore “BLACK PUBLISHERS” and “BLACK-OWNED MEDIA OUTLETS,” like the Houston Defender newspaper, the Houston Forward Times newspaper, the African American News & Issues Newspaper, and the D-Mars Business Journal. In that case, it will be next to impossible for Democratic candidates running for office on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, in the most consequential “PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION” of our lifetimes to win in Harris County, Texas.

“BLACK OUTREACH.”

The Harris County Republican Party has countywide races where “BLACK OUTREACH” will be critical. The race for Harris County Sheriff will feature former At-Large Position #1 City Councilman Mike Knox (Republican), seeking to unseat Sheriff Ed Gonzalez (Democrat), who doesn’t even value “THE BLACK VOTE” in any shape or form, if you take a quick look at his campaign finance reports.

In the Harris County District Attorney race, Dan Simons, a little-known Republican, has a much better shot against Sean Teare, the Democrat nominee who defeated Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg on “SUPER TUESDAY” by a wide margin.

If Simons can find a way to get Harris County District Attorney Kim Ogg to compel her supporters to back Simons, he’s got a real shot to run rings around Sean Teare, who has shifted way too far left.

African Americans are already familiar with Mike Knox, and he’s very comfortable around Blacks, which means that he must act as a surrogate for “THE GOP” in efforts to court Blacks who are disgruntled and fed up with the corruption and crime in the third largest county in America.

“EAR TO THE STREETS.”

A new study just released by the Pew Research Center is giving us greater insight into why many “BLACKS AMERICANS” are beginning to either stay home or look for options, and even being drawn to President Donald J. Trump, even though he’s a convicted felon.

What most non-Black Americans don’t understand or don’t want to understand is that African Americans don’t trust the system for a plethora of reasons.

But most importantly, many Blacks have personally witnessed injustices or have watched a family member endure an unjust system at the hands of a criminal justice system where poor people don’t stand a chance and are, in many cases, pleading out to crimes that they did not commit in some cases.

According to the “PEW STUDY SURVEY” I mentioned, 8 in 10 Black Americans surveyed agree with the statement that “Black people are more likely to be incarcerated because prisons want to make money on the backs of Black people.”

In the same “PEW STUDY SURVEY,” an astonishing 6 in 10 Black adults surveyed agreed that institutions such as the criminal justice system and policing are designed to hold Black people back.

Many Americans don’t even know that the criminal justice system is a privatized industry that’s driving dollars, just like what occurred back during the days of slavery. What I am talking about right now is spelled out in our beloved United States Constitution.

The 13th Amendment to our United States Constitution says, “Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.”

So, in essence, our entire criminal justice system is fundamentally flawed and is nothing more than an extension of the slave trade when it comes to poor Black people.

What you have to remember is that Black people only make up about 12% of the overall population in the United States. However, 32% of the inmates sitting in state and federal institutions back in 2022 were Black.

White people back in 2022 were underrepresented in the ranks of prisons. In reality, white folks make up over 70% of the US population; however, only 31% of the inmates were white. When it comes to Hispanic people, like Blacks, they were overrepresented but only slightly comprising around 23% of prisoners, according to data published by the Bureau of Justice Statistics.

With the knowledge that I just shared, you should be able to understand why Democrats could be making a colossal mistake by brandishing former President Donald Trump as a convicted felon between now and the upcoming Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Presidential Election taking place.

What unsuspecting “DEMOCRAT LEADERS” are doing by trying to brand former President Donald Trump as a convicted felon is giving him what’s known as “STREET CREDIBILITY” in the Black community and making him more relatable (even beloved) by Black people.

Why? Remember, according to the “PEW STUDY SURVEY” I mentioned, 8 in 10 Black Americans surveyed agree with the statement that “Black people are more likely to be incarcerated because prisons want to make money on the backs of Black people.”

And the “PEW STUDY SURVEY” also revealed that more than 6 in 10 Black adults surveyed agreed that institutions such as the criminal justice system and policing are designed to hold Black people back.

The only thing that’s separating former President Donald J. Trump with his felony convictions and Blacks who find themselves in the crosshairs of the criminal justice system is the fact that Trump has the financial means to hire quality legal representation – but that didn’t help him avoid a criminal conviction.

Thus, many Black males can relate to Trump’s current legal dilemma and can relate to what he’s going through. And strangely, they are on pulling for Trump to beat the system, whether he’s guilty of the crimes he’s convicted of – or not.

“CLOSING THOUGHTS.”

The blatant disrespect and disregard of issues near and dear to African Americans will not continue for Black folks to remain relevant in politics. Last night (Saturday, June 15, 2024) was a wake-up call for Mike Doyle and the Harris County Democratic Party. And with the most consequential “PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION” of our lifetimes looming ahead, on Tuesday, November 5, 2024, Doyle and his advisors had better take their tails back to their war room and devise a better strategy.

Running a campaign based on “FEAR MONGERING” and talking about former President Donald J. Trump and his 34 felony convictions isn’t going to do anything for Democratic nominees who will be running for office in down-ballot countywide races in Harris County, Texas.

Democrats should devise a plan that includes hiring African American political consultants who understand how to mobilize and engage the Black community. Mike Doyle, the chairman of the Harris County Democratic Party, had better find some resources and ear-mark those resources to be spent with local radio stations like KCOH 1230 AM and local Black-owned newspapers or run the risk of having African Americans stay at home on November 5, 2024, during one of the most consequential “PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS” of our lifetime.

A Second HCC Officer Has Now Come Forward to Corroborate the Portis affidavit about Sheriff’s Domestic Violence

Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton, who is a Former HCC Sergeant courageously stepped forward yesterday, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, to corroborate former HCC Police Officer Fredrick Portis' affidavit about Dr. Melissa Gonzalez's domestic violence claim against her husband, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez. That being said, Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, is the man President Joe Biden has nominated to serve as the director of ICE, the Immigration and Customs Agency.

A Second HCC Officer Has Now Come Forward to Corroborate the Portis affidavit about Sheriff’s Domestic Violence

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Did you believe the “SWORN AFFIDAVIT” that was put forth by former HCC Police Officer Fredrick Portis, in regards to the actions of Sheriff Ed Gonzalez’s wife, Dr. Melissa Gonzalez, and her boss, Dr. Cesar Maldonado at his office? Well, if not, you need to brace yourself. Why? Well, a second officer has now stepped forth to corroborate the “SWORN AFFIDAVIT” that was put forth by former HCC Police Officer Fredrick Portis. Late last night I obtained the “SWORN AFFIDAVIT OF MASTER PEACE OFFICER AND FORMER HCC SERGEANT MICHAEL BOLTON” which confirms many of the assertions that have been brought to light by former HCC Police Officer Fredrick Portis.

According to his “SWORN AFFIDAVIT” Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton has worked as an HCC police officer for nearly 14 years – from 2008 to the present. Since being hired, he’s held a number of positions and has been responsible for such things as, supervising sworn and non-sworn personnel within the HCC Police Department. His duties have also included observing, evaluating, documenting, and assessing the work of his subordinates within the department.

Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton, according to his “SWORN AFFIDAVIT” has also developed and prepared programs, procedures, directives, and staff reports within the department; served on the HCC rifle team, honor guard, field training officer, and as a mentor to other HCC police officers.

“I have personally observed and assessed the behavior, professionalism, competence, judgment, and law enforcement acumen of other officers within the department,” stated Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton, on (PAGE 2) of his sworn affidavit. “I also have observed in detail how the HCC police department handles a number of matters, including the handling of bodycam videos,” he goes on to say.

“I have personally worked with former HCC Officer Frederick Portis. In all of my dealings with Officer Portis he demonstrated a high level of integrity, truthfulness, and honesty,” said Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton on (PAGE 2) of his sworn affidavit.

“I have watched Officer Portis make the difficult choice of speaking the truth to others even when other police officers would have thought that the professional code (“blue code”) among officers would have recommended he not tell on a fellow officer or keep quiet,” explained Master Police Officer Michael Bolton on (PAGE 2) of his sworn affidavit.

Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton went on to say, “It took real integrity for Officer Portis to stand tall and tell the truth rather than merely remain silent and walk away. I gained much respect for Portis and if he said something happened, then it did. That is the type of person I found him to be,” explained Bolton.

“I have personal knowledge, and have observed the HCC police department mishandle, mix-up, lose, and/or misfile police officer bodycam footage,” explains Bolton on (PAGE 2) of his sworn affidavit.

He also explains how some of the efforts were for legitimate and illegitimate purposes. “Occasionally, “lost” police bodycam videos are not immediately assigned to the right cases and thus were misfiled or not filed at all,” Bolton claims on (PAGE 2) of his sworn affidavit. “In fact, lost bodycam footage happened in one of my cases,” he explains on (PAGE 3) of his sworn affidavit.

“How or why that happened is still puzzling to me, especially since I carried out all the steps required to upload the footage when I docked my camera,” he says. “I can testify based on personal experience within the HCC police department that it was not unusual for bodycam video to be misplaced even though an officer did everything necessary and expected to save such footage,” said Bolton.

He goes on to say, “Stated bluntly, HCC bodycam was a consistent mess and disorganized operation. And, I know this to be true because I actually supervised hundreds of HCC officers who wore body cameras and repeatedly heard complaints about lost, missing, deleted videos.

On (PAGE 3) of his “SWORN AFFIDAVIT” Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton states, “When Officer Portis says he docked his bodycam video of his encounter with Chancellor Cesar Maldonado and Melissa Gonzalez, I believe him.” And he went on to say, “And if someone claims they cannot now locate any such bodycam video at HCC it is more probable than not the result of the mishandling of the video or a deliberate action to delete it.

“What is particularly troubling to me about Officer Portis’ encounter is that this was such a high-profile event that the footage would have certainly gained high-level attention and should have been saved and preserved,” he explained on (PAGE 3) of his sworn affidavit.

According to his “SWORN AFFIDAVIT” on (PAGE 3) Master Peace Officer Michael Bolton goes on to declare, “To claim such a video is now missing is simply unbelievable. And base on my years of experience in the department such a video would have gained the attention of the Chief of Police, Greg Cunningham, David Moore, John Boxie, and definitely Chancellor Maldonado. AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "Now is the time when our love for America must prevail. It is incumbent upon us to elect "PUBLIC SERVANTS" who understand that they work for us. We need "ELECTED OFFICIALS" in office who love "OUR CONSTITUTION" and the ideals that our nation was founded upon by our forefathers. We must make it our collective effort to "PUT PEOPLE OVER POLITICS" and do what's best for America during this crucial moment in time."

Favoritism and Party Politics Have No Place Inside Our Harris County Courtrooms

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

At the end of the day, the judicial races are the most important races on the ballot. That said, who we allow to put on that black robe and occupy judicial benches (especially in Harris County, Texas) matters a great deal. Over the years, through straight-ticket voting, and folks going into the polls playing "Eeny, Meeny, Miny, Moe" we've allowed a few bad folks to slip through the cracks. Now, I'm not trying to play party politics in any way, shape, or form, with my words. All I'm trying to say is that nobody is perfect, but if we make it our goal to elevate people who fear God and have a backbone into positions of authority, every one of us will be afforded the opportunity to live our best life.
