AUBREY R. TAYLOR: “It's no secret that African American women are the backbone of the Democratic Party. So, it's really hard for me to understand why donors are not donating money to great duly-qualified veteran members of the judiciary like Judge Nikita V. Harmon. So, where are all of the people who are benefiting from, and claiming to be fighting for the Black community? Now, Judge Harmon won't be up for re-election until the 2024 Presidential Election cycle, but it makes no sense at all that she only has $281.83 dollars sitting inside her campaign bank account right now! Yes, that's only two hundred eighty-one dollars and eighty three cent that Judge Harmon (a veteran judge) has sitting inside of her campaign bank account right now, and that's shameful. Now, just for the record, I care about, and respect Judge Harmon and it broke my heart when I discovered that she had next-to-nothing in her campaign account. I'm sorry, but something has gone desperately wrong when Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo has $1,023,311.43 dollars in her campaign bank account, and Judge Ravi K. Sandill has $620,400.85 dollars in his bank account, and veteran judges like Nikita Harmon, who are the backbone of the Democratic party are being forgotten and passed over by donors.”

AUBREY R. TAYLOR: "As it stands right now, Judge Nikita Harmon only has $281.83 dollars sitting inside of her campaign bank account according to her most recently filed campaign finance report. Now, Judge Harmon is a great judge!!! She's fair! She's open-minded! And she tries to do things the right way! And on top of that, what I love about her most is that I do not believe that she would cheat to win an election. Now, all of that being said, something has to be done, as we proceed forward into the 2022 Midterm Election, and 2024 Presidential Election to make sure that veteran judges like Judge Nakita Harmon are not looked over when donors start to donate money to judicial candidates."
Many Black Democratic Judges in Harris County Are Being Forgotten About When the Donors Start Giving Money to Judicial Campaigns
AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©
How are Black judges expected to help drive Democratic voters out if they don't have any money inside of their campaign bank accounts? And how are they supposed to donate money to the Democratic Party's
"COORDINATED CAMPAIGN" if nobody is donating money to their campaigns? These judges are not making a lot of money. In fact,
THE REPORT ON JUDICIAL SALARIES AND TURNOVER for Fiscal Years 2018 and 2019 states, 'Compensation for Judges Lags Behind Attorneys, Even with Much More Experience. According to data collected by the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) for its Texas Wages and Employment Projections, the statewide average salary for an experienced lawyer in 2018 was $188,945, and the average salary for all lawyers was $150,250. TWC defines experienced workers as the wage earned by the upper two-thirds of all workers in the selected occupation. The minimum state base salary for district judges is less than the average salary for lawyers statewide in 2018 and significantly less than the average salary for an experienced lawyer. Apart from the average salary of judges on the highest courts, all other judicial salaries fall below the average salary of an experienced lawyer.' So, in my opinion, the Harris County Democratic Party should be looking for ways to help their judges, rather than shaming judges who don't have any money to support their
"COORDINATED CAMPAIGN" in the upcoming 2022 Midterm Election.
