Quddus Featured in National Media's Bangladesh Coverage
Dr. Munir Quddus, dean of the College of Business, has been featured by two national news outlets for his expertise on the economy of Bangladesh.
Quddus provided valuable insight into Bangladesh’s economy, focusing on the garment district, on NPR’s Planet Money program. He shared his knowledge of the country’s economy and the impact of the garment district in light of the recent clothing factory collapse that killed over 1,000 workers. He was also quoted in a New York Times editorial exploring Bangladesh’s economic development.
In addition to Quddus’ academic research focusing on the country’s economy, he lived in the country for a year as a Fulbright scholar. He is also the co-author of “Entrepreneurs and Economic Development: The Remarkable Story of Garment Exports from Bangladesh.”
