CD-18 Dual Endorsement Announced; Killing of Charlie Kirk May be a Game-Changer Heading into 2026 Midterms

After the on-stage killing of the "GOP" rising star, Charlie Kirk, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, Aubrey R. Taylor Communications, the publisher of Houston Business Connections Newspaper, has decided to approach the CD-18 race differently. As a body, we are requesting our "DEMOCRATIC READERS" to cast their vote for Amanda Edwards, who is the Democratic front-runner. And as for our "OUR REPUBLICAN" and Independent readers, we are imploring you to cast your vote for Carmen Maria Montiel, the (GOP), "Greater Opportunity Party" front-runner.

"SPECIAL TRIBUTE."

Aubrey R. Taylor Communications would like to thank Amanda Edwards (Democrat) and Carmen Maria Montiel (Republican) in advance for running a clean race and respecting one another and the other candidates in the race during this pivotal moment in American politics. We would also like to issue our condolences to Charlie Kirk's family.

Democratic leaders like State Rep. Ron E. Reynolds (HD-27), former President Barack Obama, and former Vice President Kamala Harris are also thanked for their willingness to put partisan politics aside on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, to issue heartfelt messages after the tragic killing of Charlie Kirk, while on a Utah college campus.

As always, we would like to thank Dr. Steven Hotze, M.D., founder of the Conservative Republicans of Texas, for stepping up to the plate to endorse Carmen Maria Montiel, the Republican (GOP), "Greater Opportunity Party" candidate in the upcoming Tuesday, November 4, 2026, Midterm Election.

"RECRUITMENT EVENT."

Dr. Steven Hotze, M.D., the founder of the Conservative Republicans of Texas, will also be hosting a Judicial Recruiting Meeting at Federal American Grill, 8731 Katy Fwy, Ste 150, Houston, TX 77024 on Thursday, September 18 at 6:00 pm, for any "JUDICIAL CANDIDATES" who wish to run for one of the nearly seventy (70), judicial positions that will be open in next year's 2026 Midterm Election.

Taylor Communications, the publisher of Houston Business Connections Newspaper, is encouraging our "DEMOCRATIC READERS" to cast their votes for Amanda Edwards, the Democratic front-runner, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the race for the 18th Congressional District of Texas. Carmen Maria Montiel is the only candidate in the race for the 18th Congressional District who has proven that she can gain more than 40,000 votes in a political contest running within the boundaries of the current 18th Congressional District of Texas. Comparatively speaking, when Carmen Maria Montiel ran against Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in 2022, she spent only $126k on her campaign, and despite lacking many resources and endorsements, she received 40,941 votes. By contrast, when Amanda Edwards, the front-running Democrat, ran against Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee in 2024, she spent $1.6 million. Still, she only received $14,668 votes, out of a possible 417,000 registered voters, who were living in the 18th Congressional District at the time. That said, please remind your family and friends that "EARLY VOTING" will begin on Monday, October 20, 2025, and end on Friday, October 31, 2025.

Republican leaders like Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick are very familiar with the "BALLOT HARVESTING RINGS" that have dominated Harris County politics for decades. Attorney General Ken Paxton and Governor Greg Abbott have also been briefed and given the names of every known "BALLOT HARVESTER" in Harris County, Texas.

CD-18 Dual Endorsement Announced; Killing of Charlie Kirk May be a Game-Changer Heading into 2026 Midterms

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

It blessed my heart to see powerful Democrat State Rep. Ron Reynolds (HD-27) and other Democratic leaders like former President Joe Biden, former President Barack Obama, former Vice President Kamala Harris, and California Governor Gavin Newsom speak out on the senseless killing of Charlie Kirk yesterday.

“I condemn the killing/murder of Charlie Kirk, who was shot while speaking at a Utah college. The right-wing activist and close ally of President Trump was 31. My prayers are with his family and supporters,” said State Rep. Ron Reynolds.

Former President Joe Biden stated, “There is no place in our country for this kind of violence. It must end now. Jill and I are praying for Charlie Kirk’s family and loved ones.”

A message posted by former President Barack Obama on X (Twitter) stated, “We don’t yet know what motivated the person who shot and killed Charlie Kirk, but this kind of despicable violence has no place in our democracy. Michelle and I will be praying for Charlie’s family tonight, especially his wife Erika and their two young children.”

“I am deeply disturbed by the shooting in Utah. Doug and I send our prayers to Charlie Kirk and his family. Let me be clear: Political violence has no place in America. I condemn this act, and we all must work together to ensure this does not lead to more violence,” said former President Kamala Harris, who also ran for President of the United States.

“NO FEAR HERE.”

Charlie Kirk was one of those people who only come across once in a generation. His tragic death at 31 years of age, on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, while at an event at the University of Utah, has left Americans from all walks of life bewildered and frightened. However, some somethings transcend politics, and the death of Charlie Kirk, a rising star in a nation that’s supposed to represent the embodiment of free speech, will inevitably become the “RALLYING CRY” for the (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party,” during the 2026 Midterms, and even into the 2028 Presidential Election and beyond.

At the end of the day, the on-stage killing of Kirk was meant to do one thing, and that was to strike fear into the hearts of “GOOD MEN,” and “BRAVE WOMEN,” and cause us to go into a shell. But that did not work, because God has not given us a spirit of fear.

“ISAIAH 41:10.”

Before anyone under the sound of my weak voice shrinks back in fear, please be reminded that what happened to Charlie Kirk on that stage in Utah came from a dark place, and we are children of light who must shine our light brightly during these perilous political times.

“Fear not, for I am with you” is a comforting and well-known Bible verse from Isaiah 41:10, which reassures people that God’s presence, strength, and help will be there for us through difficult times, like the ones we are facing today.

The whole Bible verse, which I have adopted as the theme of my 2026 Midterm Election “RALLYING CRY,” reads, “Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.”

Listen. Isaiah 41:10 is a message of divine support that has been adopted and published by Aubrey R. Taylor Communications to encourage candidates from both sides of the political aisle, who are running as Republicans and Democrats, to lean on God’s faithfulness, while rejecting fear, and trusting that God’s hand of protection is upon them.

“THE MOVEMENT.”

In case you haven’t heard, a few hours before Charlie Kirk was gunned down in Utah, a new movement kicked off in Harris County, Texas.

The Magi Circle of the Republican Women’s Club held their “ANNUAL LUNCHEON,” featuring Governor Greg Abbott as their special guest and keynote speaker.

The “Leadership, and Legacy Luncheon,” which took place at the Petroleum Club of Houston, located at 1201 Louisiana Street, in Houston, Texas, 77002, also featured a touching moment where TJ Baker, an African American female, endorsed Carmen Maria Montiel, the Republican (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party” front-runner in the race for the coveted 18th Congressional District of Texas, scheduled for Tuesday, November 4, 2025.

“PATHWAY FORWARD.”

On the day before receiving the coveted endorsement of TJ Baker, Carmen Maria Montiel also received the powerful endorsement of Dr. Steven Hotze, a fellow patriot, who is widely considered one of the foremost “KINGMAKING” conservatives in Texas politics.

Before gaining Dr. Hotze’s support on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, Carmen Maria Montiel received the highly coveted endorsement from Attorney Gary Polland, the founder of Texas Conservative Review, last week.

With the endorsement of Dr. Steven Hotze, the founder of Hotze Health & Wellness Center, who also serves as the executive director of Conservative Republicans of Texas, the campaign for Carmen Maria Montiel is now hitting on all cylinders.

If you don’t know, the goal of the Conservative Republicans of Texas is to provide the bold and courageous leadership necessary to restore “OUR NATION” to its Godly heritage by following the strategy that our pilgrim fathers gave us, which is to love God, and to place our hope and faith in the God of the Bible.

Along with the endorsement of Dr. Hotze and attorney Gary Polland, Carmen Maria Montiel, the (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party” front-runner, has also garnered the endorsements of many top conservatives from all walks of life.

“Today we lost a true patriot, a man who dedicated his life to educating the youth and defending our children, and our nation from the attacks of the left,” stated Carmen Maria Montiel, the (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party,” front-runner.

According to Carmen, Charlie Kirk fought for the heart, soul, and future of America, sacrificing so much that it ultimately cost him his life.

“Charlie Kirk will be deeply missed. We must not lose sight of the message he embodied,” explained Montiel.

Carmen Maria Montiel stated, “Conservatives are being silenced, yet Charlie never stopped raising his voice. We cannot allow crime and chaos to overtake our nation. It is now our responsibility to carry on his fight.”

“JUDGE RECRUITMENT.”

As his way of pushing the conservative movement forward, Dr. Steven Hotze, M.D., has taken action. “Greetings to you in the name of Christ our King,” read the “CALL TO ACTION,” sent out by Dr. Steven Hotze, on the day before Charlie Kirk was slain.

“Conservative Republicans of Texas will be hosting a Judicial Recruiting Meeting at Federal American Grill, 8731 Katy Fwy, Ste 150, Houston, TX 77024 on Thursday, September 18 at 6:00 pm,” he explained.

Dr. Hotze’s “CALL TO ACTION" explained, “If you are a conservative attorney who is interested in running for a judicial office in Harris County, then RSVP to admin@hotzehwc.com so we know to expect you.”

“If you know a conservative attorney who would be interested in running for a judicial office, then please forward this email to them,” he said.

According to Dr. Steven Hotze, M.D., “Jesus Christ is our Savior, Lord, and King. As Christians, we must advance a Biblical worldview in civil government and in every area of life. As Christian Patriots, we have the opportunity to elect individuals to the judiciary who will uphold Christian, Constitutional, and conservative values in Harris County.”

“All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men and women to do nothing,” he said, quoting the famous quote from Edmund Burke.

Edmond Burke’s quote, “All that is necessary for evil to triumph is for good men to do nothing,” holds very accurately today, and suggests that evil flourishes when good people remain inactive, unengaged, and afraid to join other “God-fearing” men and women.

Dr. Hotze went on to quote a passage of scripture from 1 Chronicles 28:20 - “Be strong, and courageous, and act. Do not fear nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you. He will neither fail you nor forsake you.”

“NEW ALLIANCES.”

Suppose you look at what happened at Commissioner’s Court on Tuesday, September 9, 2020. In that case, it becomes evidently clear that Commissioner Adrian Garcia (Democrat), Precinct 2, Commissioner Leslie Briones (Democrat), Precinct 4, and Commissioner Tom Ramsey (Republican), Precinct 3, are working together for the betterment of Harris County taxpayers.

Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is falling apart right before our eyes. And what makes matters worse is that Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis doesn’t even realize that he and Lina are on the way out – or maybe he does.

“THE POWER PLAYS.”

The alliance formed between Commissioner Ramsey, Commissioner Briones, and Commissioner Garcia is “AWE-INSPRING” during these turbulent political times.

While Ramsey, Briones, and Garcia are doing their thing. What about what TJ Baker, an African American female, who was widely considered one of the top Democratic contenders in the “SPECIAL ELECTION” for CD-18, officially stepping aside and throwing her powerful endorsement behind Carmen Maria Montiel, the Hispanic/Republican (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party” front-runner?
Below is the official ballot order that was drawn on Tuesday, September 10, 2025, by Harris County Clerk Teneshia Hudspeth.

#1 - Ollie J. Knox
#2 - Amanda Edwards
#3 - Jolanda Jones
#4 - Theodis Daniel
#5 - Vince Duncan
#6 - George Foreman IV
#7 - Isaiah Martin
#8 - Tammie Rochester
#9 - Christian Menefee
#10 - Valencia Williams
#11 - Ronald Whitfield
#12 - Reyna Anderson
#13 - Carter Page
#14 - Feldon Bonner II
#15 - Steven Huey
#16 - Carmen Montiel

Remember, Carmen Maria Montiel, the front running Hispanic/Republican (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party” candidate, is the only person in the CD-18 race, with a Hispanic surname, which gives her a decided advantage, in CD-18, which is 43.4% Hispanic, 32.2% Black, 16.7% White, 4.9% Asian, 2.2% Two or more races, and 0.7% other.

“BLACK LEADERSHIP.”

Like it or not, there’s a shift occurring, and if African Americans don’t wake up, we are going to become politically irrelevant before the 2028 Presidential Election cycle arrives, in Harris County, Texas, and nope, I’m not joking.

Listen. The time to hold our so-called “BLACK LEADERS” accountable for their ineptitude has arrived. We must, as a body of people, make it our business to conduct a serious evaluation of our “ELECTED LEADERS” and fire the bad ones at the next possible opportunity.

We desperately need someone from within the ranks of Black leadership in Harris County, Texas, to emerge and show some semblance of what it takes to be a leader.

Traci A Gibson could be just what the doctor ordered, so keep an eye on her as she makes her bid to unseat Mike Doyle on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, in the Democratic Party Primary race for Harris County Chairman.

IS RODNEY DONE?

Whatever semblance of a leader Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis held was left with the untimely death of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, on July 19, 2024, after a short battle against pancreatic cancer, which is claiming the lives of too many Black women.

After the death of the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, we haven’t seen any semblance of a local leader because “SHE-JACK” was the real leader of the “ELLIS/LEE/TURNER” clan, who ruled the Black community with an iron fist for decades.

Sylvester Turner and Commissioner Rodney Ellis were always weaklings compared to “SHE-JACK,” that’s why she did not respect either of them. And as for Turner, he went to his deathbed hiding behind all those secrets, which dogged him nearly all of his political career.

Yes. It’s true, “SLY” was gay, and one of his alleged lovers was an Attorney, Darryl Carter, who died of a broken heart on the day before Sylvester Turner’s funeral took place back on Saturday, March 15, 2025.

What’s so tricky about allowing the truth about our “ELECTED OFFICIALS” to flow freely into the Black community? Why won’t our local newspapers publish the unadulterated truth? Why won’t local publishers report the truth about these politicians?

Listen. Many people loved Sylvester Turner. And Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee had haters, as well as constituents who loved her dearly. But, both had issues that “BLACK PEOPLE” need to know about, and come to grips with, before choosing the next U.S. Congress Member, on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, in the “SPECIAL ELECTION” race for the 18th Congressional District of Texas.

“SYLVESTER TURNER.”

The truth about Sylvester Turner is that he was a great legislator. However, as a mayor, Turner was corrupt and fell victim to his dark past. Turner, did everything in his power, to keep his past behavior from the past, out of the public domain.

I’m going to allow “SLY” to rest in peace, but those orgies that he used to invite “BLACK MALES” to back during the 1990s were worse than some of the “FREAK OFF PARTIES,” held by Sean ‘Diddy” Combs between the 1990s and the 2020s—that’s the truth.

“SHEILA JACKSON LEE.”

The truth about Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee is that I admired her tenacious spirit and intestinal fortitude. I enjoyed watching “SHE-JACK” hop in front of any camera that rolled by, and miss her a little. But, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, like Sylvester Turner, had a dark side as well.
I’m not going to talk about what I know about Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee allegedly getting caught inside of an automobile with a young, robust, muscular young man, who was not her husband – I’m going to let that rest.

But on the matter of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, allowing her campaign manager, Gerald Womack, and his team of “BALLOT HARVESTERS,” to steal the identities of deceased black people, that’s something the “BLACK LEADERS” must come clean about.

“GERALD WOMACK.”

The truth about Gerald Womack is that his team of “BALLOT HARVESTERS” wreaked havoc on local political races for decades, and nobody did anything about it.

While the late Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee has gone home to glory, in the very near future, Gerald Womack, Kim Ogg, and Vivian King will soon be dragged into the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas to answer some serious questions.

And what’s so sad about what’s unfolding is that Gerald Womack, the owner of Womack Development and Investment Realtors, knows the truth. Womack knows that he has been caught red-handed and knows that he led “THE BALLOT HARVESTING OPERATION,” which fueled all those victories Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee enjoyed over her three decades in office.

But stupid is, as stupid does. Instead of coming forward and telling the truth, Gerald Womack is going to roll the dice and get fully exposed inside a Federal Courtroom when he, a Federal Jury, rules in my favor.

“KATHLEEN HOOEY.”

Listen. A woman who has been dead for 29 years cannot request an “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOT APPLICATION” to vote for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee. Did you hear me?
On Tuesday, February 10, 2020, the Harris County Clerk at the time, Diane Trautman, Democrat, received an annual application for a Ballot by Mail from Kathleen Hooey, a woman who had been dead for 29 years. I can prove that Gerald Womack’s “BALLOT HARVESTER,” Gloria Palmer, was the person who purchased the postage and committed federal mail fraud by sending the fraudulent document through the U.S. Postal Service.

“GLORIA CHAMBERS.”

It’s a fact that Gloria Chambers, a deceased Democratic voter, had been dead for 10 years before she supposedly decided to send in a request for an “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOT APPLICATION” to Harris County Clerk Diane Trautman on Tuesday, February 10, 2020.

Yes. Gloria Palmer, the “BALLOT HARVESTER” hired by Gerald Womack, to harvest mail ballots for Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, was the culprit who used the U.S. Postal Service to mail the fraudulent document to the Harris County Clerk’s Office.

“JESSIE BURKS.”

If you want to know the truth, it’s sad that “BLACK LEADERS,” tied to Gerald Womack, believe that their “BALLOT HARVESTING SCHEME” is never going to get exposed. I feel sorry for everyone who won political office at the hands of Gerald Womack and his scheme.

Jessie Burks was dead five years before Gerald Womack’s “BALLOT HARVESTING TEAM” stole her identity and requested an “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOT APPLICATION” in her name.

“TOMMIE BOOKMAN.”

On Tuesday, February 10, 2020, Harris County Clerk Diane Trautman, a Democrat, received a request from Tommie Bookman, a U.S. Army Veteran who had been dead for 4 years before his identity was stolen by members of Gerald Womack’s “BALLOT HARVESTING TEAM,” which was led by Gloria Palmer, who is notorious for gathering illegal mail ballots.

“DEMOCRATS HARMED.”

What most people don’t understand is that Gerald Womack’s “BALLOT HARVESTERS” did more damage to Democrats than they did to their Republican opponents.

On Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee enjoyed a considerable boost after Gerald Womack’s “BALLOT HARVESTERS” stole the identities of deceased voters.

Truth be told, nobody knows how many of Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee’s re-election bids were legitimate. If you remember, on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Party Primary, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee had six (6) Democrats challenging her. However, “SHE-JACK” received more “ABSENTEE MAIL BALLOTS” than all six (6) of her opponents combined.
As a refresher, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee received 6,202 absentee mail ballots. Marc Flores received 271 absentee mail ballots. Jerry Ford Sr. received 168 absentee mail ballots. Michael Allen received 118 absentee mail ballots. Bimal Patel received 70 absentee mail ballots. Stevens Orozco received 70 absentee mail ballots. And Donovan Boson received 33 absentee mail ballots.

“ENDORSEMENTS.”

All Houston Business Connections Newspaper©, who lean Republican or Independent, are strongly urged to vote for Carmen Maria Montiel, the Republican (GOP) “Greater Opportunity Party” front-runner.

Our Democratic readers are strongly encouraged to come together and coalesce behind the candidacy of Amanda Edwards, the Democratic front-runner.

We realize that many of our readers have their hearts set on seeing one of the male candidates win the “SPECIAL ELECTION” for the 18th Congressional District. That said, Feldon Bonner II, Steven Huey, Vince Duncan, and Theodis Daniel are viable alternatives.

African American male judges, such as soon-to-be former Judge DaSean Jones, Judge Robert Johnson, and Judge Darrell Jordan, will soon be forgotten, as nobody seems to even care about their legacy or achievements, but let the record reflect that I care. As for African American female judges, like Judge Dedra Davis, Judge LaShawn Williams, Judge Angela Graves Harrington, Judge Shannon Baldwin, Judge Tonya Jones, and Judge Tori J. Finch, it's heartbreaking to sit back and watch them fall victim to what appears to be a purging of "BLACK JUDGES" from local Harris County Judicial benches. My prayer for these honorable women of the judiciary is that they will open their eyes and use spiritual discernment before it's too late for them to defend themselves against challenges from within their own political party.

Black judges are under siege by political operatives from both sides of the political aisle. The political operatives on the right are called "RINOs," which means "Republican in Name Only," And the political operatives on the left, whom "BLACK JUDGES" must watch out for, are called "DINOs," which means "Democrat in Name Only."

Don't forget to vote on all of the propositions that will appear on the ballot in the upcoming Tuesday, November 4, 2025, General Election, in Texas.
