Former Harris County Democratic Party Chairman Lillie Schechter (co-campaign manager), owns her own consulting company, but she was rumored to have racist tendencies when she served as chairman of the HCDP, before resigning her position. Several Democratic sources under conditions of anonymity have pointed out several instances where Schechter, has shown a tendency to not fully support Black candidates when she was chair. In fact, many Democrats voiced their concerns privately about Schechter not being fond of many of the "BLACK GIRL MAGIC JUDGES" who were swept into office back during the 2018 Midterm Election, in Harris County, Texas. Mary Courtney (a Black woman) only served as the Southwest Field Organizer and Direct Point of Contact for Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo for a few weeks. But Mary Courtney may be on to something. It's starting to look like someone needs to start questioning Blacks who've worked for Lina's County Office to see if there's a systematic problem in there. After all, in the $100 million racial discrimination lawsuit against HCC, Judge Lynn Hughes has ruled that the three separate race discrimination cases filed by Black employees against HCC may proceed and denied HCC's motion to dismiss the claims. In one of his orders, Federal Judge Lynn Hughes writes, "This court has already determined that the black employees have established the elements of municipal liability to hold the college liable."

No Way…No How!!! ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!!! We can’t continue to allow Black voters to get tricked and bamboozled into casting votes for people (like Lina Hidalgo) who don’t give a damn about us. That being said, under no circumstances should Black (or Latino) voters in Harris County be “BLINDLY CASTING THEIR VOTES” for the campaign to reelect County Judge Lina Hidalgo, in the midterms
It’s time for “MY PEOPLE” to wake up! What we’re doing to ourselves election cycle after election cycle is insane. At this pace, we’re going to become “POLITICALLY EXTINCT” if we continue to blindly throw our support behind dirty politicians (like Lina Hidalgo) who don’t value or care about us as a people.
Listen! We cannot continue to do the same thing over and over again and expect a different result – that’s the definition of insanity.
Please understand that our political strength (votes) must be leveraged going forward. And to this end, we must begin to galvanize and mobilize our “COLLECTIVE ECONOMIC STRENGTH” and use it as bargaining chips in our fight for equality, and better treatment for “OUR PEOPLE” as the fight to secure our borders intensifies.
Now that I’ve started to pull back the layers on Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s Campaign, and its ‘alleged’ mistreatment of Mary Courtney, I’m beginning to see “AN EERILY SIMILAR PATTERN” emerging between how Mary Courtney (a Black woman) appears to have been mistreated and fired in part, by Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s Campaign, because she would not (according to her) slander Republican candidates, and how Zelia Brown was treated over at Houston Community College.
In case you don’t remember, HCC Chancellor Cesar Maldonado (a Hispanic male) allegedly mistreated Zelia Brown (a Black woman) by forcing her to take a leave of absence when she complained about missing grant money at Houston Community College. Does that sound familiar?
THE TRUTH HURTS
The ugly truth we’re now seeing emerge, in Harris County, Texas, is that “RACISM IS ALIVE AND WELL” in our area. And from what I can see, it's rearing its ugly head up from deep inside of Democratic circles.
Now, the scary part about what’s happening right now in Harris County, in regards to race relations, is that none of our so-called Black leaders appear to have the backbone, courage, or intestinal fortitude, to step forward and speak up out against the mistreatment of Blacks.
If you ask me, something has to be done quickly to stop the systematic “SELLING OUT” of my people by the very folks we’ve entrusted with the sacred responsibility of protecting our interests.
Now, the mistreatment of “MY PEOPLE” is nothing new; but this storyline is becoming all too familiar if you ask me.
Dr. Cesar Maldonado is ‘alleged’ to have mistreated “MY PEOPLE” from day one when he accepted his position as Chancellor for HCC back in 2014. For the record, it’s ‘alleged’ that Dr. Maldonado came right into his position pushing a “HISPANIC PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT” agenda at HCC.
TIME TO WAKE UP
In case you don’t remember, a $100 million racial discrimination lawsuit was filed in Houston, Texas by high-powered Attorney Benjamin Hall back on Friday, June 19, 2020 – “Juneteenth — the anniversary date that Black slaves in Texas learned they had been freed from slavery two years earlier by President Abraham Lincoln.
The $100 million racial discrimination lawsuit I’m speaking of detailed a damning list of allegations about what was going on at Houston Community College (HCC) under the leadership of Chancellor Cesar Maldonado and the Human Resources Director, Ms. Janet May.
According to the allegations in the $100 million racial discrimination lawsuit, Dr. Cesar Maldonado accepted his position in 2014 with a Hispanic “HISPANIC PREFERENTIAL TREATMENT” agenda. The suit contains an actual email chain created shortly after Dr. Cesar Maldonado’s appointment stating: “Now we [Hispanics] are going to receive preferential treatment.”
The $100 million racial discrimination suit alleges that since Maldonado’s arrival 90% of the long-time Black professionals at HCC have either been terminated or demoted, while there has been a 50% increase in Hispanic hires and promotions.
Shockingly, the $100 million racial discrimination suit against HCC claims, that while 90% of tenured and experienced Black employees have been displaced only 10% of similarly tenured Whites have been displaced.
Now, whether you believe Mary Courtney’s claim of racial discrimination against Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s campaign, or not, “MY PEOPLE” should not (under any circumstances) be doing the ‘Cupid Shuffle’ or “Harlem Shuffle” into voting booths and “BLINDLY CASTING VOTES” for Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, or any other candidate (candidates) who does not value and appreciate our support.
LINA MUST GO
“Lina Hidalgo is "No Good" for blacks based on the mistreatment that I was subjected to,” says Mary Courtney, the Black woman who was recently fired from her position as Southwest Field Coordinator and Direct Point of Contact for the Lina Hidalgo Campaign.
Over the weekend, Mary Courtney chose to double down on her claim that Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo is “NO GOOD FOR BLACKS” and unjustly terminated her after she would not slander Republican candidates, and raised concerns about members of Hidalgo’s campaign, bullying, harassing, and discriminating against her, because of her ethnicity.
“The Campaign discriminated against me based on my race (African American) in violation of Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and Texas Labor Code Chapter 21,” says Mary Courtney.
“On September 9th, the day after escalating my concerns regarding the discriminatory harassment to Judge Hidalgo, RJ Colorado suddenly sent me a barrage of texts further harassing me about increasing call metrics – which had just been announced the day prior,” says Mary Courtney.
“However, RJ Colorado did not subject any of my non-African American counterparts to this additional, baseless harassment further demonstrating his discriminatory and retaliatory animus,” she explains.
She went on to explain, how two days after the Dona Maria Community event, RJ Colorado called her into a meeting with Aylin Rodriguez and told her that it was inappropriate for her to take photos with the Honorable Judge Lina Hidalgo (Hispanic), whom she was campaigning for at the time.
According to Mary Courtney, “No other employees were subject to this increased scrutiny nor forbidden from taking photos with Judge Hidalgo.” She says, “In fact, Aylin Rodriguez (Co-Manager, Hispanic) has many pictures on social media with the chief administrative officer for Harris County Commissioners Court "Judge Lina Hidalgo.”
“On September 10, Lillie (Co-Manager, Caucasian) terminated me under the pretext of me supposedly being "largely unresponsive," which is patently false and pretextual,” explains Courtney.
“First, no one at The Campaign had ever raised concerns about my responsiveness before my baseless termination,” she says.

In a new development, I was able to get my hands on a copy of Mary Courtney’s voting record, which shows that she voted in the Republican Party Primary Runoff Election, back on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, in Harris County, Texas.
Yes, I said Mary Courtney’s voting record shows that she voted in the Republican Party Primary Runoff Election back on May 24, 2022, not the Democratic Party Primary Runoff Election. Now, is this problematic? Probably, not, because Lina Hidalgo’s (Co-Campaign Managers) Lillie Schechter, the former Chairman of the Harris County Democrat Party, and Aylin Rodriguez should have already known this very important fact before Mary Courtney was hired.
For the record, in defense of Mary Courtney, she had already explained to me in an email that she’d voted for Democrats and Republicans in the past. That being said, she had already also described herself as an Independent (not a Democrat) who worked on Anne Sung’s losing campaign (HISD School Board), and Elizabeth Santos’s winning campaign reelection HISD School Board campaign.
Coincidentally, Mary Courtney was also totally very upfront with me about the fact that she (according to her admission) had worked for Vanesia Johnson a Democrat, and Mike Knan a Republican, simultaneously, as they were both campaigning for the newly-created State Representative House District 76 seat, over in Fort Bend County, back during the March 1, 2022, Democratic and Republican primaries.
Also, I launched my investigation into Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s treatment of Blacks, several of my best Democratic sources have provided me with additional information to assist me with getting to the truth in this matter.
On Saturday, September 24, 2022, I spoke with several local Democrats about the claims being lodged against the Lina Hidalgo Campaign, by Mary Courtney, in regards to County Judge Lina Hidalgo, and her treatment of Black people.
Several of the Democrats I spoke with on Saturday, September 24, 2022, are convinced, that Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, has created a culture around her that places Blacks in subservient roles.
Some of the Democrats are likening County Judge Lina Hidalgo’s attitude toward Black people, to the culture that’s taken root in the Houston Community College System under Chancellor Cesar Maldonado, who is currently being sued in Federal Court for allegedly firing long-time Black employees and replacing them with Hispanic and whites.
Many Democrats have already started to whisper and discuss their concerns about Harris County Judge Lina Hidalgo, who does not have any Blacks in upper management inside her office funded by tax-payer dollars, or playing pivotal roles on her campaign staff.
Speaking on conditions of anonymity, many of the “BLACK DEMOCRATS” I’ve spoken to, believe that Mary Courtney is “SPOT ON” when she says, “Lina Hidalgo is “No Good” for blacks.”
