HBC NEWSPAPER REPORTS©

Marek Menger, the business owner of Menger Valve, LLC and ASAP Freight Systems, Inc., is swamped in legal controversy according to our research. Multiple lawsuits filed against him accuse him and his companies of fraud, breach of contract, misappropriation of trade secrets, self-dealing, and conspiracy. However, that is just the tip of the iceberg of accusations and legal issues facing Marek Menger. Social activist, Quanell X, protested against Marek Menger and ASAP Freight Systems, Inc. for mistreatment of black and minority truck drivers. Truck drivers sued ASAP Freight for underpaying them according to their lawsuit. After protests began, Marek Menger wore a Black Lives Matter shirt to a deposition to mock the protests several days later.

In addition to disrespecting people of color, Marek Menger allegedly mistreats women as well. Witnesses claim that Marek Menger routinely entertained customers of his valve company with prostitutes and drugs at his house in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. One woman has accused Marek Menger in a sworn statement of inappropriately touching her while she was only a child. Companies that claim they support equality and women’s issues will have a hard time explaining why they do business with companies owned by Marek Menger.

Marek’s company, ASAP Freight, also allegedly attempted to intimidate an employee and key witness in the truck driver underpayment lawsuit by firing her and then suing her. The former safety director hired her own attorney and claimed the lawsuit was meritless. The lawsuit was eventually dismissed the same year it was filed. Based upon motions filed by the plaintiff truck drivers in their lawsuit, the safety director testified in their lawsuit despite being sued by her former employer.

Marek Menger has been on a losing streak at the courthouse according to our research. Marek Menger hired and fired over a dozen attorneys during his divorce. After settling the divorce with his ex-wife, Marek Menger sued ten different attorneys and law firms for alleged legal malpractice while representing him during his divorce. It appears that Marek Menger’s malpractice claims did not have any merit because the judge dismissed Menger’s claims against all of his former attorneys after they filed motions for summary judgment. Marek Menger’s claims were so meritless that he represented himself, pro se at the end of the litigation.

Keeping the same lawyers for the entire length of a lawsuit is a challenge for Marek Menger and his companies it seems. In addition to his divorce, Marek Menger’s companies have gone through multiple different law firms during the pendency of several lawsuits against them. Based upon several claims filed by law firms against Marek Menger, it appears most of the law firms stopped representing him because he failed to pay his legal bills. In fact, several law firms obtained judgments against Marek Menger for not paying his legal bills for their services.

Now it seems, Marek Menger’s newest business, Menger Valve, LLC, was founded on theft and misappropriation of trade secrets according to a lawsuit filed against him and his company by his former employer, Petro-Valve, Inc. Petro-Valve’s attorney filed several motions to compel the production of documents that Marek Menger and Menger Valve, LLC were allegedly hiding during the litigation. The judge granted several motions ordering Marek Menger and Menger Valve, LLC to produce documents relating to their theft of trade secrets and confidential materials. Apparently, Menger Valve, LLC was hiding the documents for a reason because several documents filed with the Court appear to support Plaintiff’s allegations. Secret emails recovered by Petro-Valve, Inc. through a whistleblower reveal that Marek Menger was using some of the information in old Petro-Valve emails as a template to create his own database and software for his new company. Marek Menger was not allowed to keep any Petro-Valve documents according to his employment contract filed with the Court. Moreover, a motion filed by Petro-Valve’s attorney references an email between Menger’s IT specialist and Marek Menger admitting to downloading information from Petro-Valve’s server without Petro-Valve’s approval.

Where there is smoke, there is fire. With regard to Marek Menger, there is a smoke storm.

Nominating the Wrong Candidates on "SUPER TUESDAY" Could Have Disastrous Consequences in the November 2022 General Election in Harris County

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Make no mistake about it, who the people of Harris County, Texas choose to give another term to in 2022 must be about substance, job performance, judicial temperament, competence, and whether or not our members of the judiciary are following the law with their rulings. And that being said, in 2022, it is incumbent upon the voters of Harris County to evaluate the job performance of each and every sitting "ELECTED OFFICIAL" on a case-by-case basis and not as a group based on their political party affiliation, ethnicity, or gender.

THINKING ABOUT RUNNING?

If you are a candidate planning to run for office in 2022, you have to select the right candidate to run against. And the second most important thing to understand is that you have to select your race early, to avoid ending up in a crowded field of candidates on "SUPER TUESDAY" in Harris County, Texas. So, if you need assistance trying to determine which race to enter, please call (281)788-3033, and I will do my very best to answer any questions you may have.
