Why did Rodney Ellis Give Natalia "Nata" Cornelio $2,500.00 One Day Before Election Day in her Quest to Take Out Judge George Powell?

Natalia “Nata” Cornelio was paid $2,500.00 by Commissioner Rodney Ellis on Tuesday, March 2, 2020. Now, remember, “SUPER TUESDAY” voting took place on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in Harris County. So, why would Commissioner Rodney Ellis give a Latina woman, who works for him, $2,500.00 one day before "ELECTION DAY VOTING" is scheduled to take place? Natalia “Nata” Cornelio’s campaign finance report that was filed electronically, didn’t really spell out what the money given to Natalia “Nata” Cornelio’s Campaign was supposed to be used for on Election Day. However, the report of this payment was filed electronically on Tuesday, March 2, 2020 – again, that’s one day before Election Day. So please make a mental note that Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ Main Office is located at 1001 Preston Avenue, Ste 950 in Houston, Texas 77002, and Natalia “Nata” Cornelio’s Campaign Headquarters, according to her “ELECTRONICALLY FILED” campaign finance report is located at 1300 McGowen Street, Suite 290, in Houston, Texas. Do you realize that the distance between Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ Main Office and Natalia “Nata” Cornelio’s Campaign Headquarters is only 1.6 miles? Why did Commissioner Ellis give Natalia “Nata” Cornelio several thousand dollars one day before election day? Well, since her campaign finance report doesn’t really say, I would venture to say that it was more than likely intended to assist Natalia “Nata” Cornelio (A RODNEY ELLIS BACKED CANDIDATE) in her quest to unseat Judge George Powell, a man who refused to play by Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ rules.

Why did Commissioner Rodney Ellis give $2,500.00 to Natalia M. Cornelio the Day Before Election Day in her Race for Judge, 351st Criminal District Court Against Judge George Powell?

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Is this fake news too? Do you remember all those rumors that were floating around about Natalia “Nata” Cornelio being planted in the race for Judge of the 351st Criminal District Court back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Party Primary to take out Judge George Powell? Remember folks alleging that Commissioner Rodney Ellis was a puppet master, pulling strings in certain 2020 Harris County Democratic Party primary races? Remember how it sounded hard to believe that a “BLACK ELECTED OFFICIAL” would be behind an “ORCHESTRATED EFFORT” to take out other “FELLOW BLACK ELECTED OFFICIALS” back in the 2020 Democratic Party Primary? Remember how far-fetched that sounded back then? Huh? Do you remember? Huh? Even Ray Charles, if he were still living today, could see that the Natalia “Nata” Cornelio’s ties to Commissioner Rodney Ellis aren’t a coincidence. Hell, it wouldn’t take Blind Mellow Jelly this long to put the pieces of this puzzle together. So, what’s the hold-up? Look, Natalia “Nata” Cornelio worked as the Director of Legal Affairs for Harris County Precinct One Commissioner Rodney Ellis. She is one of the people who helped to negotiate and finalize the settlement agreement in the misdemeanor bail reform lawsuit in Harris County, Texas according to her admission. All of that is fine and dandy! But get this, while trying to find out more information about her, I noticed that (1) one day before the Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Democratic Party primary was set to take place, Commissioner Rodney Ellis gave her a few thousand dollars -- $2,500.00 to be exact. Now, if Commissioner Ellis isn’t the person behind the curtain pulling strings, why would he give a Latina woman trying to unseat an African American male judge $2,500.00 a day before Election Day? Well, as it turned out, the Latina woman, Natalia “Nata” Corneilo who received financial support from Commissioner Rodney Ellis, went on to defeat Judge George Powell, an African American member of the judiciary who was seeking re-election. In case you don’t remember, Natalia “Nata” Cornelio received 158,098 votes, for 63.82% of the vote. And as for Judge George Powell, well, he fought a valiant effort, but he could only muster 36.18% of the vote. Now, I wonder what all of those folks who are starting to proclaim in unison that I’m publishing “FAKE NEWS” to the public has to say about this.

Commissioner Rodney Ellis Has His Tentacles Connected to Almost Every Level of Our Local Government That You Could Imagine

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

If you ask me, Commissioner Rodney Ellis is the most powerful man in Harris County, Texas. Nobody else is even close. But for the life of me, I cannot understand why in the hell he hasn't been fully investigated for his connection to what many feel is stolen art. I just can't understand this. What we're witnessing is pure madness! Okay, I'm back. Anyways, if you take a moment to review a few of the connections he has across the political spectrum you can clearly see, how he's living up to his role as "PUPPET MASTER #1" as he's been labeled by me.

Prior to our Tuesday, November 5, 2019, City of Houston General Election, Commissioner Rodney Ellis' donated over $100,000 to TOP -- Texas Organizing Project. Top endorsed Tarsha Jackson in the race for Houston City Council District B. Meanwhile his consultant (Dallas Jones) was busy supporting Renee Jefferson Smith. After Renee Jefferson Smith didn't make the runoff, Commissioner Rodney Ellis donates a cool grand to Tarsha Jackson.

COMMISSIONER ELLIS IS KINDA SMART

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Commissioner Rodney Ellis is certainly no dummy. Nope! He’s one of the best I’ve ever seen when it comes to playing shell games. I can’t even imagine him playing checkers. Hell NO!!! But I would be very surprised if he doesn’t play a mean game of chess. But anyway, as I said, Commissioner Ellis knows how to get things done in the political world – but he seems to get a little sloppy at times. But even still, he’s a bad man. When you see him coming you should say, “Mama there goes that man again.” But is he as smart as he believes he is in his mind? I can’t answer that question for you yet, but I’ll be able to answer it for you in the next few months. Now, don’t you dare go back and tell Commissioner Ellis that I’m investigating him – that would be a bald-faced lie! What I’m trying to do is understand why it’s seemingly okay for the people of District B to be without representation for this long, when all of the top players are pretending to be working in the best interest of this predominantly African American district. What do you think? Does Rodney Ellis have a proverbial, “DOG IN THE FIGHT” whereas the District B runoffs are concerned? As for me, I can’t tell if he’s pulling for Tarsha Jackson, the woman he donated the $1,000.00 to back on 11/14/2019, or Renee Jefferson Smith. I would think that the woman he’s likely to be pulling for is Renee Jefferson Smith, the third-place finisher – believe it or not. Why? Well, I can’t see where Commissioner Ellis is supporting Renee Jefferson Smith directly. However, I can see, where Commissioner Ellis’ boy Dallas Jones is doing his damndest to assist Renee Jefferson Smith on several different levels. Now, if you don’t know Dallas Jones, he is widely considered as one of the best in the consulting business in our area – if not the nation. What’s Dallas Jones’ connection to all of this? Well, Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Renee Jefferson Smith are both his clients. But the crazy part about the District B race that was held back on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, is that Commissioner Ellis may have had more candidates in the District B race than anyone realized at the time. Remember Tarsha Jackson, the first-place finisher, back on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, in the Houston City Council District B race? Well, if my memory serves me right, Tarsha Jackson played an integral role at TOP (Texas Organizing Project) for about six years before she left the organization to run for the Houston City Council District B seat. What doe this have to do with the price of tea in China? Well, back on 4/14/2016 Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated $250.00 to TOP. Back on 8/31/2016 Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated $50,000.00 to TOP. Back on 11/03/2016 Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated another $50,000.00 to TOP. And back on 1/17/2020 Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated a whopping $150,000.00 to TOP. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with Commissioner Rodney Ellis donating more than $250,000.00 to a credible organization like TOP. I happen to like the good folks at TOP. And for what it’s worth, I love the way they support the candidates they endorse. Hell, after Commissioner Rodney Ellis donated $150,000 to Top, they turned right back around and gave him an in-kind contribution of $4,264.58 a few days later on 1/22/2020. Then on 2/22/2020, the good folks at TOP donated $121,329.04 to Commissioner Rodney Ellis in the form of canvassing and phone banking services. Are you lost? Well, let me be more clear, I believe it was the endorsement from TOP, along with the awesome ground-game services they provided to Tarsha Jackson’s Campaign that helped her emerge from that tough field of candidates she was facing back on Tuesday, November 5, 2019.

Dallas Jones is one of those people you're either going to love or hate. But make no mistake about it, Dallas is a "POWER-PLAYER" in Harris County politics. He's not the kinda guy you want to cross out here if you're new to the political game.

DALLAS JONES IS A POWER-PLAYER

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Dallas Jones bills himself as a "Political Analyst, Nation Builder, Leader-Shaper," according to his Facebook page. I’m not too sure if he’s all of that…but I digress. Look, from what I understand about Dallas Jones – he’s a shrewd businessman. So with that said, I would also like to remind you that there’s nothing wrong with him working with multiple candidates. However, at first glance, it may not be clear what his connections to the Houston City Council District B race are. So, make yourself a mental note of the fact that Elite Change, Inc. is Dallas Jones’ baby – he owns it. And who is one of his ‘BIGGEST’ clients? You guessed it – Commissioner Rodney Ellis.

Renee Jefferson Smith is still continuing to do the work she's been called to do in the Houston City Council District B community. Make no mistake about it, Renee Jefferson Smith has a real heart for the people of District B.

IS DALLAS JONES DOUBLE-DIPPING?

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Can anybody out there tell me why Dallas Jones would go to Renee Jefferson Smith out of the goodness of his heart and donate $10.000.00 worth of his precious time to help her win the Tuesday, November 5, 2019, Houston City Council District B race? Is that what we’re supposed to believe? Get this, Renee Jefferson Smith out of the goodness of heart (I guess) paid Elite Change, Inc. owned by Dallas Jones $9,000.00 out of her campaign account for all of his hard work. Does that make any sense to you? If so, you are “Cuckoo For Cocoa Puffs” my friend. Anyways, I guess it’s a coincidence that Commissioner Rodney Ellis paid Elite Exchange, Inc. $17,600.00 for consulting and field support services during pretty much the same time frame. I’m not sure if it means anything just yet, but that’s some creativity right there if you ask me. Man, that smells like there’s some double-dipping going on.

Jeremy Brown has done a good job since taking the bench as the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7. Place 1. However, do to his Tuesday, March 3, 2020, Democratic primary loss to Wanda Adams, he must hand over his gavel to Judge-Elect Wanda Adams.

REMEMBER JUDGE JEREMY BROWN?

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Let’s take a moment and go back in time together! Can you think back to the morning of Saturday, July 14, 2018? Do you remember what you were doing that morning? Huh? Can you? Huh? I sure can – just like it was yesterday. I was sitting back watching (a Livestream) as the Precinct Executive Committee meeting was taking place to name the person who would become the new Harris County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7, Place 1. Several candidates had already dropped out of the race that was to be decided by Harris County Democratic Party Precinct Chairs. I knew it was going to be a mess – and they did not disappoint me. Anyways, after all of the buffoonery and shenanigans were over, Jeremy Brown was selected. Now, if you think back carefully, Commissioner Rodney Ellis was not supposed to be behind Jerry Brown being a part of this circus – right? Jeremy Brown was supposed to be seeking to become the Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7, Place 1 all on his own – right? Well, did you know that Jeremy Brown had served as the District Director and legislative aide for a very well-known State Senator? Well? Did you? Did you know that before taking the bench as Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7, Place 1, Jeremy Brown served as an advisor of strategic initiatives and community engagement coordinator for Harris County Precinct 1 – run by Commissioner Rodney Ellis? Did you know that Jeremy Brown, just like Natalia “Nata” Corneilo were on Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ payroll before launching their bids for public office? Do you believe that’s a coincidence? Well? Do you?

Women like the Honorable Constable May Walker, our Precinct 7 Constable (left), and Judge-Elect Wanda Adams are hard to beat in Harris County, Texas. THE BEAT DOWN IN H-TOWN

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Just as I predicted back on Saturday, July 14, 2018, after all of the shenanigans and buffoonery that took place at Tom Bass park with those Democratic Precinct Chairs – Jeremy Brown went on to lose his seat the first time it came up before the voters. I keep telling folks, that being able to cut backroom deals with the Democratic Precinct Chairs doesn’t mean that you can win an election where the people decide the winner and loser. Anyways, Wanda Adams beat the brakes off Judge Jeremy Brown on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Party primary race for Harris County Justice of the Peace for Precinct 7, Place 1. In case you don’t remember, Wanda Adams received 22,609 votes, for 67.50% of the vote. As for Jerry Brown, well, he only managed to pull in 10,888 votes, for 32.50% of the vote. Janaeya Carmouche is a strong Black woman. However, she found herself out of her league back on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Carmouche was dealt an embarrassing defeat by Councilman Kubosh as he rolled to victory with more than 61.30% of the vote.

REMEMBER JANAEYA CARMOUCHE?

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Stop playing! I know you know Janaeya Carmouche? Come on! Think a little harder. Well, what about Council Member Michael Kubosh? Do you know him? Please don’t tell me that you do not know Councilman Kubosh. Well, Councilman Michael Kubosh got challenged out of the blue by an African American female back on Tuesday, November 5, 2019, in the City of Houston General Election. In case you don’t know, he’s the At-Large Position #3 Council Member. As for Janaeya Carmouche, well, according to her Linkedin page, she’s the (Deputy Director) – Interim Director of Community Engagement for Harris County Precinct 1 Commissioner Rodney Ellis. Rumors swirled around this race like a frisbee flying through the air. Did Rodney do this? Is Rodney behind this? Was Janaeya Carmouche encouraged to run against Councilman Kubosh by the Puppet-Master? Man, I got tired of hearing folks speculate. Read people! Read! Reading is fundamental – you know! Okay, I’m back. Anyways, Commissioner Rodney Ellis and his little crew were successful in forcing Councilman (Michael Kubosh) into a runoff, but their attempt to unseat him with an African American female candidate fell flat. How? Well, on Saturday, December 14, 2019, Councilman Michael Kubosh beat that girl like she stole something. I mean, the race wasn’t even competitive – not at all. As a refresher, Councilman Michael Kubosh received 103,969 votes, for 61.30% of the vote. And as for Janaeya Carmouche, well, she didn’t do so well. Comparatively speaking, she was only able to garner 65,634 votes, for 38.70% of the vote.

Brandon Dudley (left) is the Chief of Staff for Commissioner Rodney Ellis' (SMG). He ran for Harris County Tax-Assessor Collector back in 2016 against Ann Harris Bennett.

REMEMBER BRANDON DUDLEY?

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Are you telling me that you don’t remember Brandon Dudley? Stop it! Brandon Dudley works as part of the Harris County Precinct One 'Senior Management Group' (SMG). The group consists of Brandon Dudley, who serves as the Chief of Staff, and a team of directors charged with the responsibility of making policy and procedural recommendations to Commissioner Rodney Ellis and carrying out the mission and goals of Precinct One through a variety of key leadership functions according to their website. Anyways, a few years back, Brand Dudley hatched the bright idea that he wanted to serve as the Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector – all on his own – right? Anyways he jumped into the race for Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector running against Ann Harris Bennett back on Tuesday, March 1, 2016, in the Democratic primary. But things didn’t turn out so well for him. If my memory serves me correctly, Ann Harris Bennett whipped the socks off that boy. Just in case you don’t remember, Ann Harris Bennett received 100,271 votes, for 61.48% of the vote. And as for poor Brandon Dudley, well, he could only muster 62,822 votes, for a measly 38.52% of the vote.

Jolanda “Jo” Jones rose from a childhood of poverty and tragedy to membership in numerous Halls of Fame, a CNN Hero, a four-time national track and field champion, a basketball All-American, a Rhodes Scholar nominee, a successful businesswoman, author, and an unapologetic human rights activist, a Houston City Council member and school board Trustee, a respected analyst according to her website.

DO YOU KNOW JOLANDA JONES?

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

The Black community was looking around in dismay when Jolanda “Jo” Jones jumped in the race to challenge Harris County Tax Assessor-Collector Ann Harris Bennett back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic primary. “How could one Black woman be doing this to another?” asked one of my readers. “What is Jolanda thinking?” asked another. While Jolanda Jones’ bid to take out Ann Harris Bennett fell flat, the questions centering around how, and why Ann Harris Bennett was primaried haven’t gone away. For the record, Ann Harris Bennett received 157,161 votes, for 58.31% of the vote to finish first. Jolanda “Jo” Jones received 101,760 votes for 37.76% of the vote to finish second. And the third-place finisher was a guy by the name of Jack Terrence, who received 10,590 votes, for 3.93% of the vote. So, in an attempt to quiet the chatter, I will give you an inside look at some behind the scenes happenings. However, keep in mind, that Brandon Dudley, the last person to face Ann Harris Bennett works for Commissioner Rodney Ellis as the Chief of Staff for Harris County Precinct One’s -- 'Senior Management Group' (SMG). Also keep in mind that, between Wednesday, May 25, 2016, and Monday, January 6, 2020, from what I can see, Brandon Dudley, after unsuccessfully challenging Ann Harris Bennett, has been paid $33,000.00 as a consultant by Harris County Commissioner Rodney Ellis. Now, back to Jolanda Jones, a very smart businesswoman, and a highly successful attorney. For some reason, I could not find a direct connection between Commissioner Rodney Ellis and Jolanda “Jo” Jones. However, I did find a whole bunch of what I call “CROSS POLLINATION” between Jolanda Jones’ Campaign and that of Commissioner Rodney Ellis. One of the key connectors I discovered was Keith Wade – a powerful local consultant. While Wade doesn’t show up on Jolanda Jones’ most recent campaign reports, trust me when I tell you that Keith Wade is a trusted ally of Jalonda Jones. He and Jolanda “Jo” Jones have worked together for years and years and years. If you don’t know Keith Wade, I will tell you this – HE’S ONE OF THE BEST IN THE BUSINESS! I’ve admired Wade for years, and I’ve been fortunate to work with him a time or two along the way. So, to be sure, Keith Wade is perhaps one of the hottest-hands in the business and he boasts a client base that includes people like, Congresswoman Sheila Jackson Lee, Mayor Sylvester Turner, and former Mayor Annise Parker, just to name a few. In other words, Keith Wade isn’t someone you want to cross in the city of Houston.

We have not forgotten about that Priceless Art Commissioner Rodney Ellis...

AUBREY R. TAYLOR REPORTS©

Where's the paperwork for that priceless artwork Commissioner Rodney Ellis? You know, the “PRICELESS AFRICAN ART” that they still can’t find the paperwork for – stop playing! “This woman, Candice Matthews came on to our show dragging Ellis through the mud man,” explains the “5 Star General.” According to him, Dr. Candice Matthews is the one who claimed to have information that Commissioner Rodney Ellis was smuggling diamonds in the artwork,” he says. Yep, that claim was made right on Facebook -- I heard it myself.

THE 'PRICELESS' AFRICAN ART HAS NO PAPER TRAIL

Commissioner Ellis is really smart. But just how smart is he? Well, that depends on who you ask. And he’s surrounded himself with some really smart people too. Right? How smart are they? Well, apparently not too smart if you ask me. Why? Well, back when Commissioner Rodney Ellis’ spokesperson, Maureen Haver was initially asked by KPRC 2 about the “PRICELESS AFRICAN ART,” she said, “We currently are warehousing an African art collection that we have an agreement with that was approved by Commissioners Court, a couple of years ago,” according to published reports. As it turns out, that was only partially true. The agreement she was alluding to was related to 14 pieces of African Art in county buildings – not the hundreds of pieces found in the county shed – with no paperwork. Remember former Harris County Judge Ed Emmett? Well, he’s currently working as a KPRC 2 political analyst, among other things. According to him, the aforementioned agreement was signed back in 2018. But according to Emmett, the agreement did not reflect what was going on inside the shed. Emmett was also quoted in the report as saying, "A lot of money got spent on a building, clearly to make it so that it could be used to store this art collection." And he went on to say, "The art collection doesn't belong to the county. The art collection wasn't even on loan to the county," explained Emmett. Also, don’t forget that Ellis’ staff did not provide receipts detailing how much money was spent to create the storage space, according to what I read in the KPRC 2 report.

Former Constable Ken Jones is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 3 as the "RUNNER-UP" against Constable Sherman Eagleton. In case you don't know, Ken Jones received 3,391 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk. However, in a recent turn of events, Eric Reed, Deborah Florus, and Michel (Poppy) Pappillion have all decided to throw their support behind Ken Jones. This could make the runoff showdown between Constable Sherman Eagleton and former Precinct 3 Constable Ken Jones one of the most intriguing races on the entire May 26th Democratic runoff ballot. Why? Well, at first glance it would appear that Constable Sherman Eagleton is the clear, and decisive "FRONT-RUNNER" heading into the runoff showdown. However, when you take into account that Eric Reed received 1,810 votes for 8.58% of the vote; Deborah Florus received 3,279 votes for 15.54% of the vote; Michael (Poppy) Pappillion received 913 votes for 4.33% of the vote, and Ken Jones himself received 3,391 votes for 16.07% of the vote, it isn't difficult to see that the "RUNOFF SHOWDOWN" between Constable Eagleton and Ken Jones won't be as lopsided as their Democratic Primary was back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020. Another key factor to pay close attention to is the fact that only 23,896 votes were cast back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the race for Harris County Constable for Precinct 3. Why is this significant? Well, according to the Harris County Clerk's Office, there are 197,063 registered voters in Precinct 3 who could potentially turn out on Tuesday, May 26, 2020. So both Constable Sherman Eagleton (the current Constable for Precinct 3) and Ken Jones (the former Constable for Precinct 3) will both have their work cut out for them between now and the start of the "EARLY VOTING PERIOD" which begins on Monday, July 6, 2020, and ends on Friday, July 10, 2020, in Harris County, Texas.

Randal Newman is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 5 as the "FRONT-RUNNER" against Mark Alan Harrison. In case you don't know, Randal Newman received 23,525 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.

Mark Alan Harrison is heading into the Tuesday, July 14, 2020, runoff election in the race for Harris County Constable Precinct 5 as the "RUNNER-UP" against Randal Newman. In case you don't know, Mark Alan Harrison received 18,560 votes back on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, in the Democratic Primary, according to the "Unofficial" election returns published by the Harris County Clerk.
